• Facemasks (optional)
• Basic cleaning supplies for your dorm room
• Laptop Computer (no Chromebooks or tablets please)
  • If you have a Chromebook and need a loner laptop, please email us at prep@utk.edu. We will provide you with a computer when you check in at the dorms.
  • School laptops and parent loaned work laptops generally don’t work on campus as they block YouTube and other websites needed for class. If this is your case, please email us at prep@utk.edu so we can request a UTK loaner laptop for you.
• Earbuds/headphones
• School supplies scientific calculator, pens, pencils, paper
• Backpack
• Classroom appropriate casual clothing
• Long pants and closed shoes for labs and lab tours
• Athletic clothing, sneakers, bathing suit, beach towel, flip flops for pool
• Dress clothing for special events
• Rain jacket or umbrella
• Linens sheets (Twin XL bed size), comforter, blanket, pillow, towels, washcloths
• Laundry detergent (no pods), laundry basket or bag
• Toiletries including sunscreen
• Alarm clock
• Money, a small amount of spending money and/or ATM card
  • Note: We are a cashless campus: Debit and credit cards are accepted. Apple Pay and Google Pay is also accepted.
• Cell phone and charger or long distance calling card
• Camera
• Hangers
• Sunglasses
• Medication a five week supply of any prescription medication
• Food (meals are provided, but you may bring additional drinks/snacks)
• Printer (optional you will have access to campus computer labs)
• Talent show musical instrument, props for other hobbies
• Telephone for residence hall room if you want to use the landline
